Pycno Terra
Our take

Soil sensing. Solar power. Cellular built in.

Terra is our first choice for farms building a connected soil monitoring network. Its Master combines the sensing probe and cellular gateway in one device, reducing the number of separate components to purchase and install. That makes the system especially appealing when weighing a complete field installation against the price of a probe plus separate telemetry.

GPS is available on some models. Models after 2024 add BLE, OTA firmware updates and Wi-Fi data upload.

Field fit

Where it fits

Vineyards, citrus orchards, commercial greenhouses and farms that want soil profiles and remote data in one system.

Plan the installation

Choose a Master with 2G or 4G for direct uploads. LoRa Nodes require a Master. Match probe length to root depth and confirm cellular coverage for the installation site.
